Freeport LNG is one of the biggest US LNG export projects under construction. Could you give us an update on the stage and project timelines?

The project’s first three trains of liquefaction, each with a capacity of up to 5.0 mtpa, are under construction and on schedule. The first train is expected to be ready for start-up in early 2018, with commercial operations expected to commence in September 2018.

What were the main challenges on transforming your import project into an export facility?

Commercialization, financing and permitting.

What are the most attractive current and potential new markets for Americas LNG exports?

USGC LNG exports are well positioned to target numerous countries including the established traditional LNG markets, recent market entrants and new emerging markets.

What are the new approaches and initiatives that you are exploring when talking with potential LNG buyers?

Marketing initiatives range from available uncontracted excess quantities, potential 4th train expansion export project and potential small scale.

On June 23rd, as part of the 15th World LNG & Gas Series: Americas Summit, you are going to open your facilities to the summit attendees. What are you most looking forward to at the visit?
