Enrique Morfin

Enrique Morfin attended the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) in Guadalajara, Mexico where he got a Mechanical & Electrical Engineering degree, and after that he came to work for Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) (Mexico´s national power company) in Power System Operations and Analysis from 1975 to 1986. At the same time he taught Electric Power Systems related subjects in his “alma mater”. After some stints in private business and companies involved in Construction and Maintenance of Telecom, Natural Gas & Power Electric networks in Mexico and USA, he came back to work for Mexico´s Federal Government in 2007 for the Ministry of Energy as Chief of Staff to the Undersecretary of Electricity in Mexico City. In 2008, he returned to Comision Federal de CFE as Chief of Department of Engineering and Development for the National Power Control Center (CENACE). Since February 2010, he has been Natural Gas Manager, in charge of the fuel supply of natural gas power plants belonging to CFE and some IPPs, including all of CFE’s related LNG supply contracts.
