LNG/LPG Assurance Superintendent
Commenced my sea career in 1971 in India as a deck cadet. Became Captain in 1981. A the age of 26 I was the youngest Master in the Indian Merchant Marine for which I received a special commendation from the Indian Government. Since 1982 to 1993 sailed in international fleets – Norwegian, German, Australian, and British. In 1993 I came to the USA and taught at the STAR (Simulation, Training, Assessment and Research) Center in Dania Beach, Florida. I taught Advanced Ship Handling and Integrated Bridge Systems to Shipmasters of the US Merchant Marine and the cruise companies in Miami. I sailed on LNG Carriers from 1998 to 2005.
From 2005-2006 I joined the Military Sealift Command and carried ammunition for the Iraq war effort. I Joined BP in 2007 as LNG Assurance Superintendent. Presently provide Marine subject matter expertise to new and ongoing LNG and LPG projects in BP.
