Richard Meyer serves as Manager of Energy Analysis & Standards at the American Gas Association, which represents more than 200 local energy companies that deliver natural gas throughout the United States. Having joined AGA in 2010, Mr. Meyer’s responsibilities include policy and economic analysis to support the association’s outreach to advance awareness of the import role that natural gas utilities serve in meeting the needs of a clean energy economy. Mr. Meyer’s work relates to natural gas supply and demand fundamentals, residential and large-volume markets, greenhouse gas emissions and climate-related policy, and natural gas distributed generation technologies like combined heat and power. Prior to AGA, Mr. Meyer was a Senior Associate with ICF International in its Fuels and Technology group. There he worked on a range of natural gas and propane market modeling, analyses, and climate-related projects. He has a M.A. in Global Environmental Politics from American University and a M.S. in Physics from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.
