After obtaining his Industrial Engineering degree from University of Washington, Seattle, United States, Mr. Wiraatmadja worked with the Indonesian representative of Caterpillar Solar Turbines for 18 years, with positions in sales, after-sales service, and ultimately as Director of Power System utilities. In these roles he was responsible for delivering a number of nationally prominent energy sector infrastructure projects. In 2006, Mr. Wiraatmadja established a successful compressed natural gas (CNG) distribution business, one of the first in Indonesia, and in 2013, together with his partners acquired a majority stake in an engineering company.
P.T Energi Nusantara Merah Putih with its subsidiaries Pasifik Agra Energi and Power Merah Putih is developing a liquid natural gas (LNG) receiving and regasification terminal and an associated combined cycle power plant, which will supply electricity to smelters in Bantaeng Industrial Park, South Sulawesi. Mr. Wiraatmadja is the founding shareholder and driving force behind the development of the project. He currently serves the position of President Director in the subsidiaries as well as the parent company. Mr. Wiraatmadja is a marathon finisher.
